This was our second year making Asya’s birthday cake. She is an aspiring artist and a HUGE music lover that turned 18 this year. For her 18th birthday cake we collaborated and came up with a design that highlighted Asya’s love of music. We have included personalized Beat by Dre headphones, an iPod, and lots of music notes. Asya is a girlie girl so we were sure to add a few black and white decorative touches.
The cake is our classic yellow cake with signature vanilla almond butter cream. It is set atop two cake boards that are designed to mimic a stage. In order to make the candles stand out, we used silver candles on discs of blue fondant to tie in the colors of the cake.
